Hi Marcin, | |||
Apologies for the delayed response. I have been preparing for the Alumni Faculty Forum Committee meeting which was last night.
The Alumni-Faculty Forums (AFFs) are a highlight of Reunions each year. Alumni-Faculty Forums (AFF) began in the 1960s and have since become a tradition at Reunions. Forums are composed of panels of three to five alumni, representing major reunion classes and the APGA, and moderated by a faculty member or administrator well-versed in the field the panel explores. Panelists are nominated by the AFF representatives on the basis of their experience and knowledge in the subject topic. Forums often explore current key issues in health, politics, finance and business, religion, the arts, family life and many others. Each discussion is one hour and fifteen minutes in length. The moderator positions the issue and introduces the panelists. Each panelist then briefly presents a perspective after which the moderator leads discussion between the panelists and the audience.
Last year, approximately 4,028 alumni and guests attended the 20 panels featuring 83 alumni panelists from the major reunion classes and graduate alumni.
The panels are planned for Friday and Saturday of Reunions. The schedule is as follows:
Friday, May 29 Saturday, May 30
8:45-10:00 a.m. 8:45-10:00 a.m.
10:30-11:45 a.m. 10:30-11:45 a.m.
2:30-3:45 p.m. | |||
I will do my best to plan the panel on Friday, per your request, but given the limited large lecture halls available on campus and the number of panels, I cannot guarantee at this time that I will be able to do so. Panels will be scheduled within the next few weeks and we will let you know as soon as we have more information.
Please let me know if I can answer any other questions. We are so excited that you’re coming back and appreciate your willingness to participate!
