Basics

  • Either an open source head mount for a plate, or a design integrating both the mount, and a custom transparent face sheild plate
  • The head mount should be all or nearly all 3D Printed
  • The Transparent Plate should be off the shelf, or a Precious Plastic compression or injection molded part from shredded disposable water bottles (PET)
  • Also need to check plastic compatability with disenfectants, and compliance etc
  • Could be developed in the future for fume and/or welding use

Minimum Viable Product

  • Comfotable enough for all work-day use
  • Adjustable head Mount
  • The Plate should cover forehead to chin
  • The plate should be transparent
  • The device should be secure in a similar manner to a hard hat (doesn't need shock protection etc, but should not come loose comprimising it's use)
  • Preferably only the head clamp mechanism(s) (ie no chin strap to avoid needs for other materials such as fabric and/or rope
  • Should be able to be disinfected with standard hospital agents without damage

  • Should use only standard 3D Printing Filaments for the head mount (Preferabbly PLA or ABS, perhaps others if needed, also perhaps screws etc if needed although this is undesirable in emergencies)
