• Often Abbreviated as OER
• The term was first coined (Officially) at UNESCO's 2002 Forum on Open Courseware (According to wikipedia, and it's source) (Verify if needed)
• Used often in UN literature on various initiatives etc
• Essentially any Educational "Stuff" that is open source
