FDM Filament Switcher

Basics

• Any device that "switches" the feed in a single FDM printer nozzle from one to another
• Typically does so via cutting and/or heat fusing, then rerouting the filament to the "output" side
• Doesn't tend to work well with big temperature jumps, but with colors, and similar temp materials it works well
• May allow for some sort of automatic Cleaning Filament use in Print Farms for reliability and reduced downtime?
