Basics
- Page could use a better name
- This Page goes over the various levels of generator motors OSE will make
- Is kW-A more correct?
Sub kW Class
low-kW Class
- Mainly used for small to medium wind, small hydro, and small thermal generator systems
- 1kW Generator (DC?)
- 2.5kW Generator (DC?)
- 5kW Generator (DC?)
- 10kw Generator (DC?)
High-kW Class
- Mainly used for large gen sets
- 50kW 3 phase ac
- 100kW 3 phase ac
- 250kW 3 phase ac
- 500kW 3 phase ac
- Would 1mW be too outside of reach, also perhaps not modula enough? With a quick look up, average USA residential power use/day is ~30kwh, and that means 1 mW genset would cover ~34 homes, and that is residential, commercial/industrial may use more, also various large vehicles with an electric drivetrain (trains/ships), super far out there, but may be worth a look
