Basics
- The Economist newspaper has a concept of the "Third Industrial Revolution" being the dawn of digital manufacturing
- The first was the advent of steam power, and replaceable parts in the 1800's (very common in school teaching)
- The seccond was steel, assembly lines, and basic electronics in the 1900's (taught in high school)
- The concept of a third one is still theoretical?
