Basics

  • Essentially a Concave Mirror formed by either a layer of Metal Foil or Metallzied Film (mylar) , and a special container (either like a "satellite dish" or just a tube with the propper fittings on one side), and a suction/vacuum source
    • The vacuum "pulls" the foil back due to atmospheric pressure
  • Thus a relitively "perfect" mirror is made from common materials with little need for polishing/metal forming
  • It Does Not however have the best preformance, but cost/simiplistic nature may mean you can just make 2x the mirrors etc
