Basics
- A Vehicle both an Electric Drivetrain and a Traditional Drivetrain
- Typically refers to Cars/Vans/Busses
- Can come in different "levels"
- The lowest of which is essentially a Engine Start-Stop System and Electric KERS system
- The main level is a larger battery that can be used for low speed driving / maintaining a set speed as well as the above features
- The highest level is the Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle which has the features of the above, as well as an even larger battery and a EV Charging Port and the associated electronics, allowing it to be able to drive short to medium distances solely on electricity
Internal Links
- Extended-Range Electric Vehicles (A Similar Concept, but the motor is only a generator; it has no linkage to the drivetrain)
- Hydraulic Hybrid Vehicle
- Hybrid Hydraulic System (Make redirect to?)
- Hybrid Hydraulic Drive Thesis
