The project is teetering, though, because the originator Scott has only fully opened the code, not the hardware (schematics and BOM are out there, but not the PCB layout). Scott is now busy with other things and might be convinced to open source the hardware (perhaps with a kickstarted buyout) -- there's a considerable community of users.
