Theory

Use plug-on design breakers. These allow for pigtail-less AFCIs. Use wall GFCIs, as these are only $8 each. Lugs on breaker panel allow you to rough in the wiring prior to breakers being inserted - so you can replace breakers without unscrewing any wires.

Practice

  • QO breaker panels are available with plug on neutral bars so you can add a GFCI AFCI breaker without a pigtail.
