Basics
- An Automated System Similar to an E-Stop , but which uses various sensors and a dedicated device, to determine the cause and effect of any emergency situation and respond accordingly
- It may not shut down the entire device/facility, burt rather just enough to isolate the affected area
- It's main goals are:
- Reduce consequences of an emergency situation
- Flooding
- Escape of Hazardous Materials
- Fire
