Basics

  • A/The "Third Place" is a Social Environment Distinct from the "Homeplace" and the "Workplace"
  • Important due to being socially neutral, and not being a place where "stuff needs to be done"
  • Also should preferably be a "Free Place to Be" ie Loitering is not a crime, but the goal
  • Due to Enclosure the amount of "common spaces" (especially those that fulfill the above requirement) are scarce
