- Double stud between panels are too much. But necessary for
- Leaves on flat roof
- Snow clogs on drainage
- Make roof bulletproof - not for only water
- Interest in dimensional control of foundations for SIP based ADU
- Overhangs are highly recommended. Get this on current version?
- Can build up a leaf condition on top of the roof.
- Difficult if just openings to drains.
- Labor skill is variable
- Metal roof is best -
- There is hardware that avoids birdsmouth
- Make the framing hard and waterproofing easy. Waterproofing as bulletproof as possible. Metal roof sounds great.
- There are PV panels that can clip right on to metal roof
- Solar panel frames that clip directly onto ridges of the roof.
- Single slope to the south. Clip them to metal.
- Minimum slope of metal roof - 3" per foot.
- 6'8" for occupiable space
- Short walls on third floor. 4 feet to 7 feet.
- Local work - best for structural engineer to work out bugs in realtime.
- Early-on design review - most good on the front end. Offer from David Mar.
- Ideally PDFs at end to mark up.
- Concept design - and feedback session.
- Build to last - not have someone rebuild in 10-15 years.
- PDFs that show panels and how they come together?
