Basics
- Essentially an automated form of Shielded Metal Arc Welding
- It involves a wire feed mechanism, and a mechanism covering the weld area in Welding Flux pellets
- The Weld Pool and arc are Submerged under said pellets
- This provides the obvious weld pool shielding, but also tends to block most of the Arc
