An advanced version of Voluntary Simplicity where one simplifies their life by learning more skills. The complexity part refers to learning how to build things - which is a technical and physically challenging endeavor. The simplicity part refers to the ability to disentangle from participating in non-authentic, non-transparent aspects of modern society. The intent is higher life satisfaction and meaning.
