- Jobs - people working for others in destructive jobs (jobs that run poor business practices, polluters, oil and gas when solar is possible) or simply ones that one cannot leave because they need to make a living - is the cause of much compromise.
- Dependence - ex. Europse still pays a $650M per diem to Russia while Russia is bombing the shit out of Ukraine - because Europe cannot get off the opium of oil and gas
