Basics
- A Specialized Piece of Heavy Equipment for Logging
- It picks up logs with an arm (similar to that of an Excavator ) and places them on an integrated (or trailer mounted) rack
- The rack also tends to have hydraulic claws to help secure the logs during transport
- Compared to Dragging the Felled Logs, Using Forwarders leads to less Soil Disruption
- A Wood Chipper can be integrated as well, rather than a rack
