- 18000 lb load capacity appears to be max for any gooseneck - see terms at [1]
- CDL applies to towing for hire only. Towing for hire is exempt from CDL if GVW is 26000 or less
- For heavy gooseneck trailers for hire without CDL, load limit is about 10k lb if truck is 8000lb and trailer is 8000 lb
- Max pickup truck-trailer combo weigh is in the 40k lb range.
