Produced with a 1 micron accuracy lathe/grinder, which was self-built by a skilled technician with off-the-shelf parts such as super-precise marble blocks at $40 from E-bay combined with a precision motion spindle.
Howto
- External grinder wheel makes for high precision.
- For inner bore, use a small driven grinder wheel - [2]
- A design for AIrf Bearings by Applied Science that use machined graphite, and 3d printed enclosures - can also be hand machined
