**Due to the Pnuematic Equivalent of a [[Slip Ring]] / [[Rotary Coupling]] etc, Changing a Tire becomes quite an ordeal
**The Costs/Benefits of this vs [[Run-Flat Tires]] only vs [[Tracked Vehicles]] would be an interesting thing to look into then put into a page

Basics

  • A System in Wheeled Vehicles where pressure is not only Actively Monitored (Re: Tire Pressure Monitoring System ) but activly adjusted
  • This can be done for multiple reasons:
    • Pressure can be adjusted to be higher for on-road efficiency, or lower for offroad capability (especially on sandy/wet surfaces etc)
    • Also it can allow for a " Run Flat" type capability, even with standard tires
    • Despite being not as capable as a proper Height Adjustable Suspension , it can in some cases adjust overall vehicle height slightly
