Basics

• The Certification Required to Work on a Mobile Elevated Work Platform (abbreviated as MEWP) (Also known as an Aerial Lift
  • Examples would be a Scissor Lift , Boom Lift etc

To-Do’s

• Is certification required for ALL scissor lifts (including smaller ones being used Indoors for Commercial Construction etc
  • To an extent using small scissor lifts for anything higher than a 6 Foot Ladder or so is ideal, and given OSE’s Design for X type focus, designing this in as a feature should be doable
  • That and/or a suitable Open Source Scissor Lift
• How does one get certified, how long does the certification last
• Is it an internal company document, a Government Issued Card, or a third party such as NCCER ?
