Rapid prototyping may be achieved using a variety of approaches. These should be chosen strategically according to XM Prototyping Strategy
- 3D scanning
- 3D printing - plastic additive
- 3D printing - ceramic baking
- Box beams with prepared holes
- CNC router with wood or plastic
- CNC milling in metal
- Non-Lamindated Machine Design - Rapid prototyping of CNC metal cutouts + welding
- CircuitLab - For rapid prototyping, testing, and documentation of circuits
- Laser cutting of paper cutouts
- Laser cutting of thin wood cutouts
