Project Manager (PM) (aka Scrum Master in Scrum termiology) Duties:
- Responsible for managing the overall progress of one of the 50 GVCS machines.
- Produces a development timeline, strategy, and budget for the project for review by the Projects Director.
- Follows up with team members on a regular basis to maintain progress, morale, and rapport throughout the development team.
- Follows up with CAD development and commits files to the design repository.
- Blogs on a weekly basis to provide development updates to the greater community.
- Engages in a weekly strategy/progress meeting with Projects Director.
- Recruits documenters to produce instructionals, master PDFs, Connexions documentation material, and other indispensable project outputs.
- Blogs updates and milestones on Factor e Farm Blog and feeds any required blog material to Factor e Farm Blogger
- Reports directly to Projects Director.
- Arranges for product testing and documents results. This person may collaborate directly with the Factor e Farm Director for the purpose of testing.
- Maintains an open, daily log of all relevant activity, including links to performance results obtained in field testing. This includes maintaining logs of expenditures on financial transparency wiki pages.
- This is a management role, where the Manager works with the successful bidding prototyper/designer (or volunteer) to manage the workflow of development.
- PM shall blog or co-blog on the Factor e Farm Blog regarding updates
- PM shall moderate or co-moderate the corresponding Technical Development Forum for the project
- PM shall work with a Documentor for the project to produce instructional videos, as delineated in the Instructional_Page_Template
