• Shadows ED and takes over roles as practical and possible
• Develops operations strategy

Finances

• Prepare and oversee budget
• Keeps financial records
• Manages cash flow (do I have $ for x)
• Prepares cash flow statements
• Compile/review/propose budgets for review by ED

Human Resources

• Involves staff and volunteers
• Reviews candidates
• Does performance reviews
• Compiles job descriptions for agriculture, construction, production, and subject matter experts
• Prepares contacts
• Requests bids
• Ensures team members are focused and directed, and have resources necessary to carry out their jobs
• Sets performance standards and creates assessment tools for staff and volunteers and conducts these assessments
• Creates and ensures a healthy sense of community
• Directs recruiting
• Performs monthly and semi-annual planning and review with team, and maps milestones with team members

Project Development

• Allocates human capital to required tasks
• Oversees productivity of agriculture, construction, fabrication, prototyping, and organizational development, and all other team members

Project Management

• Oversees operations flow
• Oversees technical development

Facility and Equipment Management

• Roads
• Site maintenance
• Recycling
• Logistics/Procurement

Other

• Contributes to strategic development
• Embodies values of the organization
• Helps to translate strategy into practical implementation plans
• Supports ED as necessary
• Contributes to organizational development
• Oversees some process development
