Workshops offer an excellent opportunity to begin crowd-sourced, open source economic development efforts. To this end, it is useful to include clear mechanisms of community building, followup, and crowd-sourcing as part of the workshop.

For agriculture related workshops, one critical area of regenerative agriculture is access to locally-adapted plants and genetic materials. This is where the open source nursery is important - to share and develop adapted plant materials. See Open Source Nursery problem statement.

To build community, and to facilitate open source development - here are the tools we are offering:

  1. OSE Visitors Facebook Group - to continue discussion between people who visited OSE and would like to continue discussion.
  2. Miracle Orchard Workshop Dashboard - a wiki page template that presents various workshop related materials in one place
  3. Open Source Nursery Facebook Group - because core development potential revolves around collaboration in securing planting stock for each acre. Each acre contains 450 trees, 1-3 shrubs per tree, and 16 perennial plants on floor layer.
