OSE's positioning is to create the open source economy. With this as a central Promise of OSE, we take any workshop as an opportunity to move forward on this promise. Any workshop should have an element of Distributive Enterprise creation via a global collaborative process, such as:

  • Regenerative agriculture-related workshops may have an element of Open Source Nursery creation - generating a database of locally adapted plants, sources, cultural techniques, and economic analyses
  • Technology workshops may have an element of Sourcing Development for local supply chains

The goal is to promote the concept of Distributive Enterprise to the wider populace - showing people that they can be involved in creating the economic history of the world - while being taught specific tools for how to do it. This is consistent with OSE's intent to create open source culture that engages in open economic development.
