About Issuing Open Badges

OSE is currently issuing its own badges as a low-overhead route to issuing skill certification. This is done by generating an icon with basic badge data on the icon. Because special software infrastructure is needed to maintain badges according to the official Open Badge Specification, and currently OSE does not have an official badge maintainer on its team, OSE is following the Open Badge Specification in spirit, but not in execution.
