Based on Lifecycle Cost Analysis paper by Joshua Pearce - [1]
we can propose:
- Large-scale collaboration for an Open Source Startup Weekend, $100k org cost, that sprouts 1000 local businesses across World.
- Basic set of Top 100 Products that are proven, well-designed, highest value, shippable, and viable as a drop-in-mailbox productive operation. Reinventing cottage industry for simple products.
- Could also include a library of top 100 vitamins for producing local economies
- Value proposition: local recycled store for cleaning up the environment
- Investment comes from Foundations
- This is a concept - requires a clear business plan
- Collaboration ecology must be set up for 1000+ collaborators
- Enterprise Development Template needs to be created for the business side
- OSPD on the hardware side is already available
- Day 7-9 of STEAM Camp is the Startup Weekend - if putting this event into STEAM Camps once 100 or so are running
- Get together 1000+ people based on a 250+ Item Collaboration Architecture where we define all the roles
- ROI must be 100x. For a $100k investment, $10M revenue must arise as the value captured by participants
- Nominal registration ($10) for all participants. Think through the logistics etc. Get good at this to run regular events.
- This may become possible after sufficient number of STEAM Camps
Limitations
- Quality of 3D printing in various materials? Needs full high temp enclosure for access to more than PLA and TPU. May require 2020 OSE Incentive Challenge
- Access to recycled filament and recycling infrastructures?
