Cutting out an Object

Great and clear.
Use shift and control on Ubuntu to zoom in and out and move around to get a detailed cut.

Procedure:

Windows menu -> New Toolbox if tools are not showing
Free Select Tool - Lasso -> click and drag, or do multiple clicks for pointwise line selection
Go all the way to the starting point and click
Select-> Invert
Ctrl-X to remove background.
Save as PNG to preserve transparency. Export.
