Basics

- Not only aesthetic, as it can make images more bright, and/or improve contrast of colors, materials, or areas
- Can be done via software like GIMP for photos, and Blender for video
- VERY useful to have a calibrated monitor, but not 100% neccisary especially at the low end

Desktop Stuf
- Macro Keyboard or Macro Keypad (Makes editing faster/less tedious)
- Nice Mouse (Comfortable, Precise, Some Even Have Macro Keys/Buttons)
- Calibrated Monitor and/or a Monitor Calibration Device (makes sure it will "look right" on any display, not just yours)
Stuff used when taking the photo/video to make post production easier
- Color Chart and Calibration Tool is almost a must
- Autofocus Calibration Aids and Production Slates are useful if doing complex video (piles of cameras/cards) , of if you are just extra
