- 1% of editors, about 1200 at any time, write 77% of content. Not bad. But could be better. [2]. 84% of editors are male. Not surprising given that Wikipedia was initially funded by revenue from a porn business, but jokes aside - the gender ratio reflects a typical male-domination in the field of software and internet enterprise.
