*This hot tap has a valve. The Drill bit fits tight into tap, so once hole is drilled, water doesn't leak as there is a gasket around the drill assembly. Drill is withdrawn partly while retaining seal, but far enough so valve can be closed. Close valve, remove drilling assembly. Done. - This hot tap has a valve. The Drill bit fits tight into tap, so once hole is drilled, water doesn't leak as there is a gasket around the drill assembly. Drill is withdrawn partly while retaining seal, but far enough so valve can be closed. Close valve, remove drilling assembly. Done. Now can attach pipe: [2]
