Francis Hilton - "Capitalists can better improve global social capital by simply doing a better job at creating wealth in their primary area of expertise rather than in charitable endeavors". [4] Wow, profound. Ie, don't Rob people and nature in the first place to give wealth away as an afterthought like all the robber barrrons of yesterday and today. This writing suggests that philanthrocapitalism is foul, as it takes capitalists outside of their areas of expertise. These capitalists, simply put, will suck at their new job.
OSE Practice
Ethical enterprise includes:
- Solving for the last unsolved frontier of human enterprise - distribution of wealth
- Transitioning to the open source economy, where global (extramural) collaboration becomes the norm in enterprise in order to raise the bar for everyone
- Doing what is right - for people and environment - not what only makes money
- Filtering business decisions through "how does this help people gain self-determination"
- Being an independent thinker - as everyone will tell you to do otherwise
