Basics

The Lubricating Oil added to the Liquid Fuel (typically Ethanol Free Gasoline ) for use in 2-Stroke Engines , most of which operate on Total Loss Lubrication using a premixed Fuel-Lubricating Oil Mixture
- ALTHOUGH some use Separate Tanks and mix on their own / use separate Nozzles/Venturis/Carburetors , Especially Motorbike Engines and some Outboard Motors

A Video by the YouTube Channel “Dave’s Small Engines” Titled “Which 2-stroke oil is safest for your small engine? Temperature testing 6 of the most popular oils!” ( ‘’’~20 Minute Watch’’’ )
- Main downside is the only thing they did was measure Cylinder (outer) Wall, and Muffler Temperature, both with a Laser Thermometer . The procedure was through + well thought out, but no investigation on Engine Deposits Carbon Deposits, or of Wear (On the Cylinder, on Valves, etc). Cut tests were alright, but more Project Farm esque jigs, or a Dynamometer test would be nice for quantification of power etc
