It turns out there is no FTP site.  One was discussed and considered, but nothing came of it.  FTP is not really ideal as a repository.  It's pretty weak, security-wise.  Elifarley suggested we use BitBucket or GitHub.  Turns out there is a GitHub for OSE at https://github.com/organizations/OSE, but only three projects set up (now including the steam engine).  If you need repos space, talk to Eilfarley.  You will need a GitHub account, too.  [[User:Mjn|Mjn]] 14:37, 30 June 2011 (PDT)

Clear, concise guide. Could someone put up a link to the ftp repository and a list of suggested software for each of the steps? That would be helpful.
