General Strategy

Steps:

  1. Define OSE CAD Needs in all CAD areas - mechanical, architectural, electrical. Also include CAE, CAI, Scan processing, CMM, and others.
  2. Assess existing closed source industry standards and existing open source alternatives.
  3. Delineate specific features that are missing from open source alternatives
  4. Contact open source developers to determine development status and future developments planned
  5. Propose a development needs plan and recruit potential developers
  6. Leverage open source development and funding networks to fund the development of missing software.
