General Strategy
Steps:
- Define OSE CAD Needs in all CAD areas - mechanical, architectural, electrical. Also include CAE, CAI, Scan processing, CMM, and others.
- Assess existing closed source industry standards and existing open source alternatives.
- Delineate specific features that are missing from open source alternatives
- Contact open source developers to determine development status and future developments planned
- Propose a development needs plan and recruit potential developers
- Leverage open source development and funding networks to fund the development of missing software.
