*Window screen appears to work. This thread implies that if window screen can be stapled tight around young trees, that prevents girdling, and one can mow close to prevent rodent habitat.   • Drainage tile - 28 cents/foot - [3]
  • 1/2" pipe for fingerling sprouts - 15 cents/foot - [4]. Need thin wall, not 100 PSI.
