- Use the D3D CNC Circuit Mill to mill from Aluminum
- Use a geared down stepper motor (3-5x) to enable printing with 3 mm and larger filaments, while simplifying the design of the extruder proper by removing the geardown from the extruder proper
- Neckless design - filament goes straight into heat break
- Heat break-less design in Phase 2 - the nozzle is larger and longer, and has a built-in heat break.
- thus, nozzle may have to be steel to decrease its thermal conductivity. See Thermal Conductivity of Metals.
