Introduction

Creating ad hoc networks of cheap wireless device can provide a resilient, off-grid way of connecting to the Internet. Such a network would require no Internet Service Providers; it would be entirely in the hands of the users. Furthermore, it would be impossible to censor and difficult to spy on. It would have no central hub, so trying to take it down would be like trying to cut a hole through water.
