There is a substantial category missing from http://openfarmtech.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Sidebar and that is "Metalworks".

In line with with Rasmus's idea to emulate Ekopedia/Wikipedia, posted a rough draft of a main page organization on Talk:Main Page. Thoughts? Is a shift too much bother while translation is going on? I read the comments on Gizmodo, but didn't see anything in particular to add to the FAQ. Do you have any specific ideas?

Hi Elifarley, thanks for taking the initiative to organize the CEB Press build instructions. I've started the effort at CEB Press Build Instructions - try to integrate with that. --Conor 13:53, 27 March 2011 (EDT)

Hi! I started cleaning up some stuff, such as unused categories and creating some more structure. I would like to do more but for some stuff I need admin rights. For example, I would like to go through Category:Candidates_for_speedy_deletion - I'm an inclusionist so I when in doubt I will leave stuff around. There were also some protected pages that I wanted to edit (small edits, such as "fixing" the category). Anyway, it's fun to work on this :) Guaka 10:24, 19 April 2011 (PDT)

hey eli.

i think "IT Team" is better than "IT Team Member" because technically, "IT Team Member" is not a category. As an analogy, think of using "Solar Energy" vs. "Solar Energy Article". we shouldn't have to qualify by including the word "member" since the presence of the word "team" pretty much already explains that this person is part of the said team.

Hello. I was wondering if you could enable the LaTeX math rendering on the wiki here. You need to just set the appropriate variable to true in LocalSettings.php. I posted a forum thread about it here. When it is working correctly simple equations will get rendered like this <math>x = 5</math> and more complex ones like this: <math>P = \frac{C}{V^\gamma}</math>. -Andrew Buck 19:50, 2 June 2011 (PDT)

I have been getting a lot of "500 internal server errors" here on the wiki. I have always been getting them, but over the last few days there have been a lot more of them. Just recently it took ~10 minutes to save 4 pages since I had to retry each page several times before getting it to work successfully. I am not sure what to do about them, but I did want to at least let you know it was happenning so you can check things out on your end. I would check the /var/log/apache2/error.log to see if it has any information in it. The full text of the error is shown below. -Andrew Buck 08:48, 7 June 2011 (PDT)

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@opensourceecology.org and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

P.S. I should mention that I seem to get these most often when looking at image pages, or categories containing lots of images (I have been working with these a lot lately). For an example, see Category:2D_Sketch_(Artistic_Based) which currently has thrown the error 6 or 7 times in a row now. -Andrew Buck 08:51, 7 June 2011 (PDT)

Hi Eli, I edited the page to remove the explanatory text from get involved. Can you add a link [[Wiki instructions#Logging_In|Get an account on the wiki]] the the login page (upper righthand corner) or the upper right hand corner itself? Because a couple times I have invited people to help contribute and they get back asking how to sign up. Hopefully they will read the wiki instructions while they are there too.Gregor 20:40, 28 June 2011 (PDT)

Hi Elifarley, Do you think it would be possible to add [[Wiki instructions#Logging_In|Get an account on the wiki]] to the login page or upper right hand corner of the wiki?

openfarm tech broken link

I don't have permission to edit this page, but the link to openfarmtech down the bottom is not pointing to the correct location.

approval process for forum admission

Hello EliFarley, I tried to join the forum a week ago and haven't recieved an approval, I'm not sure how else to get any help on this but ask you here. I haven't had any success getting through to other contact methods.

I'm also a true fan and donator as of this week and I'd love to replicate the CEB press in Queesnland, Australia as well as be involved in OSE in a deep level. Thanks for any help, Andrew Graham
