Basics
- A bicycle that has a powered front and back wheel, as opposed to just the rear wheel
- Can be mechanical, mechanical electric, or electric only in design
Industry Standards
Mechanical
- There aren't many chain driven models, possibly due to saftey issues
Christini Bicycles
Mechanical Electric
- These are quite rare due to the complexity involved, especially if one wants all wheel for both modes; not just electric mode (via two hub mounted motors)
Christini Bicycles
Electric Only
- Too many to list really, just get a bike, slap a motor on each hub, wire it up, and you got yourself a functional all wheel drive bike, not desirable though due to no backup after battery depletion
