- Shuttle tracker - hardware tracking the shuttle on campus
- Submittee - used by CS department.. ECSE - electrical and computer science engineerin
- RCOS - Rensselaer Center for Open Source
- Some paid projects - from outside companies, but inside more. Issue with paid projects - keeping it open source
- Shawn - alumnus - started with a $1M grant.
- License - requires an open source license by OSI standard. Has good relationship - Patrick Masson - director of OSI.
- Interested in - with respect to multiple universities
- Wes is part of Teaching Open Source
- CSAW, YAKS - larger projects?
- Citizens Science for South African Waters
- University - but doesn't have funds to pay for much. Does have a makerspace with 3D printers.
- Good penetration in the CS department.
- Trying to be less software and bring in other interests outside of software.
- RPI is a tech oriented university. Has some humanities.
- Broaden student base - artistic and hardware interest as well.
