Basics

  • Also called "brutalism"
  • An Architectural Style of very basic, simple buildings
  • Often quite "simple" looking, ie can be described by some as a "concrete block"
  • Outside of certain exceptions that use the simple geometry, in more complex arrangements (like "Habitat 67" or the Geisel Library) it is often looked on poorly
  • May be something to avoid, or at least do the "good" verions
