Basics
- Sort of the middle ground between traditional buttons, and zippers
- Uses two interlocking metal componets that 'snap" in and out of place
- Typically used to hold fabric together but can also be used for straps, and even circuitry/electronic componets (See Open Source Electronics Prototyping System )
- A common example are Jeans
