==='''WHY''' are you motivated to support/develop this work?===
*''Do you endorse open source culture?''
Yes, I do.
*''Why are you interested in this work?''
I'd like to see a large scale cultural shift towards people becoming more productive, innovative, self driven and capable individuals, rather than people who are dependent on others for their sense of worth and value and who are helpless in the face of any problem which requires a creative solution. I'd like the freedom and independence OSE has to offer the planet.
*''Are you interested in teaching about the GVCS?''
Yes, the more people that know about it, the larger chance it has at becoming viral and really impacting world culture.
*''Are you interested in economic relocalization possibilities arising from the GVCS?''
Very much so. Localized production allows for not only cheaper products, but also more community stability than our current system allows.
*''Do you want to use the GVCS technologies yourself? Do you want to build them yourself?''
Yes. I can't wait until I can build my parents a solar concentrator for their home. I'm going to help design and build as many of the prototypes as I can get my hands on.
*''Are you interested in starting up enterprise using the GVCS technologies?''
Very. I hope to be one of the first examples of distributive enterprise  by manufacturing CEBs.
*''Are you interested in having the GVCS technologies fabricated by your local custom fabricator?''
Yes, my family's fabrication business being the fabricators.
*''Are you interested in applying the GVCS to third world development? To redevelopment of crisis areas? To development of derelict areas in the developed world?''
Nope. My interest is improving my own back yard, not my neighbors back yard.
*''Are you interested in starting up Industry 2.0 flexible fabrication enterprises for your local community,  by drawing from a global repository of freely down-loadable designs and fabricating using open source fabrication equipment?''
Yes. One of my goals in collaborating with OSE is to drum up fabrication business for Enniss Inc, the family business. I want to return it to it's former splendor of needing 10 or more employees to keep up with all of the fabrication jobs we have.
*''Are you interested in the potential of the GVCS for developing local food systems?''
Yes, one of my dreams in life is to operate a small scale farm.
*''Are you interested in doing academic studies/papers, publishing books, or doing other analysis of our efforts?''
I'm interested in helping the documentation in terms of CAD, fabrication instructions and the user manuals, but beyond that, no.
*''Are you interested in financial investment opportunities arising from our work?''
I'm interested in investing in my own business fabricating the GVCS, but not other investments.
*''Are you interested in the distributive economic aspects of our work, and if so, how do you see this playing out?''
Yes. I see small businesses popping up either using or fabricating the GVCS. Some sort of quality control will have to be developed to insure fabricator and user responsibility, so that nobody ends up getting cheated. Possibly OSE approved fabricators. Contracts between creators and users will become a necessity (although I think they already are...)
*''Are you interested in building renewable energy production facilities based on open hardware (solar concentrator electric, wind, biomass power)? Are you interested in building resilient communities based on access to the GVCS?''
yes, Id like to get my families homes and businesses off of the grid. Since we livd in SoCal, the solar concentrator is the most practical method.
*''Are you interested in creating a bug-out hut using GVCS technologies?''
??No...
*''How do you think that the GVCS can help alleviate the instabilities of global monetary systems?''
Yes, because with relocalized economies, the value in money will return to (or maybe will be for the first time) being backed by productivity and not by theory and paper. The only issue will be whether various villages will all adopt the same form of currency. I cant see the dollar being the future method of trade...
*''How do you think that the GVCS can address issues related to resource conflicts?''
It promotes individual responsibility, and removes resource obtainment from big brother. Few people can be as cruel and immoral individually as organizations can be. The resources used will all be available locally, so obtaining them by force will no longer be a necessity, or a practicality.
*''How do you think that the GVCS can address issues of overpopulation?''
Not concerned with this.
*''How do you think that the GVCS can address issues of resource depletion and environmental degradation?''
There will be less allocation of resources towards corporate inefficiencies and transporting goods. When people are closer to the resources they are using, they are much more conservative with them.
*''What should happen so that you become more involved with the project?''
I should drop out of college...
*''What is missing in the project?''
More human competence in the form of prototypers and fabricators. Also, more people need to know about it so those types of people can emerge.
*''What are your suggestions for improvement of the project?''
More competent contributors and fabricators and better fabrication instructions. Perhaps the biggest thing is better instructions. The more replicable the GVCS is, the more viral it will become.
==='''WHAT''' are your skills?===
*'''List all of your skills in these areas: Communications - Organizational - Computer Support - Finances - Design - Natural Building - Electronics - Automation - Metallurgy - Engineering - Fabrication - Agriculture - Energy - Architecture - Video/Graphics/Art - PR/Marketing - Education - Construction - Industry - CNC - Chemistry - Product Design - Other'''
*'''Communications'''
I can speak and write with good grammar and clarity.
*'''Organizational'''
Ive been told I'm a natural leader, but not much experience.
*'''Computer Support'''
none
*'''Finances'''
None
*'''Sociology'''
I can use common sense to evaluate a persons character and motivations.
*'''Home Economics'''
none
*'''Design'''
Ive designed, built, and sold various things made of metal. (see my resume)
*'''Building'''
I have a lot if experience with metal fabrication, including welding (TIG, MIG, Stick, in both aluminum and steel), torching and general fabrication.
*'''Electronics and Magnetics'''
Not much.
*'''Automation'''
none
*'''Metallurgy'''
I have a basic understanding from metalworking, and various courses in school. (chemistry and materials science)
*'''Engineering'''
I was going for a career in architectural engineering before OSE... Therefore I have a good amount of schooling in the subject.
*'''Fabrication'''
I have a ton of experience with aluminum sheet metal, as well as heavy steel. I can MIG, TIG, and Stick weld, as well as torch.
*'''Agriculture'''
Not much
*'''Energy'''
not much
*'''Video/Graphics/Art'''
Not much
*''How have you already contributed to the project?''
I just spent a 6 weeks at Factor e Farm building 4 1/2 CEB machines. I have updated many of the build instructions, and intend on updating all of the mechanical build instructions for it.
==='''HOW''' can you help?'''===
*''How are you interested in contributing to the work of GVCS development?''
By prototyping, building and selling products, modeling an open source business, and providing optimized, clear instructionals.
*''Can you volunteer to work with us, and if so, how many hours per week?''
yes. Probably only 10-20 hours week while I'm in school, and 10-20 hours a day when I'm at FEF :D.
*''Are you interested in working with us for pay? If so, what services can you offer, and what is your hourly or per-project rate?''
If i can work on my own projects at FeF to provide for myself, that is all I ask. If not, Ill want living money. For work I do on the outside, design is free, but fabrication will need to go to the family business. We charge 75$ per shop hour. I am a competent steel and aluminum worker with a brain that's creative and ready to start prototyping,
*''Are you interested in a [[Dedicated Project Visit]]?
Already done it. I want to return andu live at FeF part time.
*''Are you interested in purchasing equipment from us to help bootstrap development?''
Nope, I wanna make it.
*''Are you interested in bidding for consulting/design/prototyping work?''
Yes, I've already begun doing so.
*''Are you a [[True Fans|True Fan]]? If not, why not?''
No, I'm going to wait until I have a steadier income.
*''Would you like to see yourself working with us on a full-time basis?''
Yes.
*''Are you interested in using the technologies that we are developing directly?''
Yes.
*''Are you interested in being part of the world's first, open source, resilient community? The GVCS is the preparatory step for the OSE Village Experiment – a 2 year, immersion experiment (2013-2014) for testing whether a real, thriving, modern-day prototype community of 200 people can be built on 200 acres using local resources and open access to information? We are looking for approximately 200 people to fill a diverse array of roles, according to the Social Contract that is being developed. This may be the boldest social experiment on earth - a pioneering community whose goal is to extend the index of possibilities regarding harmonious existence of humans, ecology, and technology – as a beacon of light to benefit of all people on Earth.
''
I'm not sure yet whether I'm ready to leave the life I've built elsewhere for good. I'm definitely interested though.
