One week crash course session at Factor e Farm, teaching prospective students how to design and build a Level 1 Microfactory, for development work and to train potential collaborators.

  • Includes build and test of one heavy machine.
  • Actual development work
  • Divide roughly 3 days development as a group - and 3 days build
  • Collaborative literacy training
  • Vetting of potential collaborators
  • 18 person limit for Hablab capacity
  • $500 per person, 6 day adventure
  • Great for doing rapid prototyping, large tasks, etc.
  • Cross training in many disciplines: 3DP, CNC torch, weld, torch, hole punch, FreeCAD, Kdenlive, Audacity, YouTube, Wiki, Distributive Enterprise, etc.
  • Curriculum should be tight, and this should also be the Week 1 of Immersion Training - pretty hard core for getting experience with all of our techniques.
  • This could also be held before workshops, to combine events, but could also be standalone.
