Summary- air wired electronic devices with ready wires and 0.1' pins and headers. Sub-enclosures for short protection. Main enclosure with touch screen.
Intro
With just controllers, sensors, wires, screens, enlosures, and power elements - one can create many types of devices.
How?
It would be interesting to design an air-wired system with small form microcontroller breakout boards that can be reconfigured to all types of devices. For example: IT thermometer, tachometer, temperature sensor, temperature logger, fridge controller, CEB controller, etc.
Design:
- Use all elements with pins
- Connect pins with ready wires
- Air connect and put components in sub-enclosures to prevent shorting
That's it. Then we don't even need circuit milling.
Applications
- This applies to consumer electronics.
- For power electronics, solid mounts for liquid cooled circuits are required
- 3D printed cases can be used.
- This could become a universal controller/aapliance system, like a cell phine is for normal consumer goods.
