200 kilowatts per activity is the point at which "industry" scale is reached. I.e; 100 kilowatt tractor would be "homestead" scale, 200 kilowatt is industrial scale -- with industrial efficiency. Solar panels are less than $0.5/watt. So 100 kilowatt will cost $50,000 one time investment.

Using 30 acres of land to achieve all that modern technology offers Basically, 4 major types of materials: Biomass, metals, ceramics, plastic Modern tech refined from raw versions of these Electricity is very flexible in facilitating the refining of these materials You can smelt iron ore with electricity Any process that requires heat, can be powered with electricity Energy is the ability to convert any material into a more refined material Most modern compounds are aluminum or steel based Thus the induction furnace + metal roller - to convert scrap into reusable metals Make tubing, rods, or wire Industry evolved from wood -> steel (metals) -> information Metal: electrons move but the nucleus is stable

Sales calls: SPIN selling Situation : Problem : Implication : Need-Pay Off SPIN Selling by Neil Rackham (Amazon) by Neil Rackham (PDF)

(Well suited for B2B sales) For success, the person you are talking to should be talking 80% of the time. Establish your expertise along with a sense of trust/mutual understanding. So that objections can be brought up and addressed (or even better: address the objections before they come up, if you have this level of insight). More likely than not, what you are selling is not their #1 priority. So you have to do some work to convince them. Ask questions; like, what does it mean for their organization if you address their need? Get them thinking about it. (i.e; What do you think about making your own tools rather than purchasing tools that already exist?) Treat them as the expert on what they need, then communicate how you can address their needs. If our service does not actually address their need, we can pivot our service to match it or pick up the relationship somewhere down the line.

Ferdi: the quality of educations is the greatest security for 3D printing longevity. Even the "best", most expensive printer will fail if not operated properly. Train the trainers. Ferdi: noticed through personal experience that 3D printers are region-specific. So maybe focus more on the knowledge around 3D printers rather than the printers themselves. "We teach our students how to build machines."

"Safari" school presentations: $300/half hour - $500/hour + reduced cost for multiple presentations on same day.

Installing Linux USB: .5 hours Learning FreeCAD: 15 hours Documentation: 1 hour

Learning FreeCAD was definitely the most difficult task. The 15 hours learning FreeCAD enabled me to complete the XYZ cube in about 42 minutes. It took me a while to figure out how to align the pipes perpendicular and parallel to each other within the xyz plane. I watched the 2 tutorial videos provided but had to frequently reference the Old_FreeCAD_Tests to fully understand how to accomplish the task. I did not use any other outside tutorials.

I believe I built the XYZ cube in a "brute force" fashion and that a more efficient and elegant solution was possible. At some point while adding the fastener to my cube, some of the pipes came out of position, so I give myself 85% for this attempt.
