Sara is an OSE Fellow who does core research on open source machines and facilitates the adoption of technology in local communities through workshops and events. She got into Open Source Ecology because she believes community participation in open source hardware is a powerful way to unlock wealth and reforge human connections. She envisions a future where people can spend less time worrying about money and more time collaborating.
Sara has professional experience in software and web-based technology development. Having lived in a spiritual-intentional EcoVillage for 3 and a half years after graduating from Ursinus College with a BA in Environmental Technology Studies & Computer Science, she is an interdisciplinarian with a diverse skill set spanning business development, marketing, event coordination, and technology. She is most passionate about contributing to the organization of sustainable human communities that are based on open principles of collaboration, diversity, and environmental stewardship.
