Fruit Ice Cream

  • 1 1/2 cup of fruit (raspberries, blueberries, etc.) - frozen or fresh
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 2/3 cup sugar (or 1/3 cup sugar + 1/3 cup pureed dates(also known as roaches))
  • 1 1/2 cup heavy cream

Dark Chocolate Ice Cream

  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup pureed dates (or 3/4 cup sugar)
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder (or less for a less intense cocoa flavor)
  • 2 cups heavy cream

Instructions

In a blender or food processor:

  • 1. Puree the dates (if using) with a little bit of milk
  • 2. Add the rest of the milk and remaining ingredients, except heavy cream, and blend well (making sure that all powders or granules are fully dissolved/dispersed).
  • 3. Stir in the heavy cream
  • 4. Follow instructions for your ice cream maker
